Victorian Green Opaque Enameled Glass Biscuit Barrel






In the Victorian era British was one of the largest and the most powerfull country that spread between 6 continents worldwide. Within the era, it flourished a style that stands out of the crowd that style alone called Victorian style. Towards the end of Victorian era British imported the enameled glass from Belgium and Bohemian to meet the export demands in the world. This Biscuit Barrels is one of that example. Its made of the greenish opaque glass that is decorated by a charming enamel on the side complete with the brass lid and finial including the Biscuit Thongs. This Biscuit barrel is most probably made in Belgium in the 1880s which was one of the largest supplier of glass to the United Kingdom. Its total height is 26cm the glass only stands 15cm tall with 10cm diameter.
Its in a perfect shape and condittion and will make a perfect addition to any glass collectors cabinet.
